LAE is the academic sixth form for independent thinkers

Do you want the knowledge, skills and interests that will give you broad and rich life choices in a complex and changing future?

LAE is in Stratford, East London, right next to the station and the Olympic Park. We are a sixth form that teaches only the A levels most favoured by leading universities and employers. We opened in September 2012 and already we are very successful: In 2014, 72 of LAE's first cohort of sixth formers secured places at Russell Group universities and five secured places at Oxford or Cambridge, a 100% increase in entry to Russell Group universities compared with the whole borough only two years previously. LAE secured an A*/A percentage of 43% and A*/B of 71%, results that better even some well-known independent schools such as Ampleforth and Millfield and nearly 50% more sixth formers secured AAB in facilitating subjects than the other providers in the borough put together. In 2015, the Department for Education rankings placed LAE as the top college in East London. The Times then named LAE "one of England's most sought after schools". We are delighted that this year 105 our sixth formers have secured Russell Group places.

Applications for September 2015 entry have now closed. Late applications will be considered on an individual basis.
