Job Description

The role

The Volunteer MFL Assistant’s role is to support the MFL Department and to work with students in small groups or individuals to develop their skills and enrich their cultural knowledge. This includes pronunciation, general conversation, aspects of the target language culture and reinforcement of topics seen in class. The main groups are Year 12 and 13 but there is also the opportunity to work with younger year groups as part of an outreach programme.

This experience will give the opportunity to experience the principles and practice of teaching a Foreign Modern Language at Key Stage 5, including curriculum design, development of materials and lesson planning.
Skills and experience required

The ideal candidate(s) should have a sound understanding of A Level French and/or Spanish, and be currently studying Languages at University.
